Please see the following brief overview on how groups needs may vary.

Ladies Only
The patterns of attack tend to be different for males and females. Generally when a male is attacked it is usually from the front and does not have a sexual motive. When a female is attacked by a male it is usually from the blind side i.e, from behind and may well have a sexual motive, therefore the type of techniques taught in the ladies only course vary to address these very different scenarios. Any presentations for the ladies only would be adapted to suit your particular needs. Additionally women tend to feel more comfortable in an all female environment when subjects such as rape and sexual abuse are discussed.

Schools/Youth Clubs
Most schools and youth groups these days adopt some form of anti-bullying policy. Unfortunately these policies tend to take effect after a bullying incident has occurred and in many cases this is too little to late because the victim is already traumatised from the mindless torment from what is little more than a coward, who sees a weaker person as an easy target. We at myselfdefence believe parents, school teachers, youth workers and children themselves should be pro-active in their approach to the subject of bullying be it physical or mental. myselfdefence corporate self defence tailor their youth courses with this in mind.

Specific Needs
We acknowledge that the term specific needs covers such a vast range so please contact myselfdefence coporate self defence with the individual requirements of your specific needs group.

The Elderly
We offer courses tailored to suit the physical restrictions that may come with the ageing process.

Security Services
As a result of the violent nature of society today there is a growing requirement for more and more security staff. Be it a pub, club or supermarket. myselfdefence corporate self defence security services courses teach conflict management i.e, how to defuse a situation together with pre-emptive striking and restraint techniques for escalated circumstances. The security services course has a greater emphasis placed on the physical side of self defence, therefore, clients would need to posses a reasonable level of fitness.
